About Rotary Club of Kingsport

Who we are

Ordinary neighbors. Extraordinary impact.

The Rotary Club of Kingsport is a group of local leaders, professionals, and neighbors who believe we can do more together than apart. Part of District 7570 | Area 13 | Club 5739, our club was chartered decades ago and has spent generations serving Kingsport and the surrounding region β€” one project, one program, and one friendship at a time.

We gather every Wednesday at noon for lunch, a program, and fellowship at The MeadowView Conference Center, 1901 Meadowview Pkwy, Kingsport, TN. Guests are always welcome. Whether it's a hands-on service project or supporting Rotary's work around the world, our motto guides everything we do: Service Above Self.

In our members' words

Why our members serve

Quotes shared by our own club members. Storytelling is the number one strategy we're employing this year β€” these are the voices behind the service.

I joined the Rotary Club of Kingsport because I was looking for a different kind of connectionβ€”one that would expand my professional network beyond the circles I encounter every day through my work with the Chamber of Commerce. Rotary introduced me to a fresh network of business and community leaders, but service was just as important to me. The Rotary Club of Kingsport has been strengthening our community for more than 100 years, and I wanted to be part of an organization with that kind of history, purpose, and lasting impact.

Being the chair of the Rotary Club of Kingsport Foundation when we met our goal of $100,000 in our endowment for our 100th anniversary was truly meaningful. Knowing that we have left a legacy to support future club projects in perpetuity is most fulfilling.

Moving back to my hometown, I wanted to reconnect with my community and meet people who shared a passion for service. Joining Rotary gave me exactly that. I found a welcoming group of mission-driven individuals who are committed to making a positive impact. Being part of Rotary has been incredibly rewarding. I've built meaningful relationships, found opportunities to serve, and become more connected to my community. It's been one of the best ways to build friendships while making a difference.

The guide we live by

The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say, or do:

  1. 1Is it the TRUTH?
  2. 2Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. 3Will it build GOODWILL & BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. 4Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
